MINT Signs International Agreement
WAMC is a global Association or over 123,000 members in 40 countries. Its members are widespread across the hospitality industry and support global education and development for people looking to enter the world of cooking and hotel management. WAMC also has representatives in Embassies, Government Departments, Major Resorts, and Cruise ships. The Association partners with colleges that work to improve the Hospitality industry in both Cooking and Management.
2021 has taken off with a bang for Mint International College. In December 2020 the formal agreement between Mint International College and WAMC Holdings International, owners of The World Association of Master Chefs (WAMC), was signed, making MIC the only private college in Australia to be officially recognized by WAMC.
Students of the college who complete any of the following courses will receive a WAMC Junior Membership to the Association for 12 months (including a formal Certification) and will have access to Master Chef Mentors and opportunities worldwide:
- Diploma of Leadership and Management
- Diploma of Hospitality Management
- Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management
- Certificate III Commercial Cookery
- Certificate IV Commercial Cookery
- Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning)
WMAC Global President Gaven Ferguson has come on board with Mint to usher in a new approach for mint in the Hospitality sector. “With an ever-changing landscape in the industry, training on a global scale will be more important than ever. Mint has the capacity to achieve great things for WAMC and we are excited to form this partnership together” Mr. Ferguson said.
Mint has traditionally only offered courses in Australia to international students but now there are plans to offer courses in selected countries including Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programs to industry professionals. The new programs will launch in 2021 and are sure to be a welcome offering to the industry.
